Although we were at the South unit on a poor weather day, we rode the scenic loop anyway Great time! very little traffic, we could travel at our own pace and stop as we pleased, with out having to worry about getting run over. I try to get to TR Park a few times in early Spring and Summer. The South Unit of TR National Park is absolutely wonderful. On the first night of a ten day western vacation (7/13/07) we drove from Minneapolis to TRNP and camped at the Cottonwood campground in the South Unit. The park is beautiful with abundant wildlife.
