We spent Thanksgiving week on St. Kitts and Nevis, choosing the Thursday night activities at Shiggidy Shack for our low-key Thanksgiving dinner (we're not traditional, obviously!). Tagging along with mom and dad were our two kids (eight and five). The Shack was great - good food, great drinks and lively entertainment - our kids never wanted to leave the bonfire!... more

Please read my review of May 22, 2004!!! Judging by the current reviews, the negative reviews describe the exact same conditions and problems. This place should be shut down-it's dirty, foul and dangerous. I complained to management in a letter after we returned back in May, 2004, and got the usual form letter promising to look into things. Many of the reviews say that the town center is a let down. If you are not there at the right time it may see that way. In one review Basseterre was describes as sort of a slum. The town does look run down but walking down the main street from the circus there are many little shops that offer... more
