It's no 4 star hotel but you can´t beat the location, in the center of the old town, although on a quite street at night. We had never been to Gdansk, but a cousin recommended the Hevelius because it was close to the Old Town and close to her parents' apartment. We were not disappointed. Although the high-rise building has a Stalinist-era appearance, it is quite contemporary inside. First time in Gdansk not the last time in Gotyk House. Great location, rooms clean and comfortable. Nice and very helpfull staff. Fantastic breakfast on a teracce. Best recommendation. When in Gdansk take a boat trip - nice! Gdank has really beautiful old town. Sopot is worh seeing also - nice view from the pier. more
