Le Diplomat

I stayed only one night, and found it a pleasant place to be for the night. The room was big enough and airy, and clean (albeit not overly so). A safe was present in the room, and I did have (free and fast) Internet connection. Staff during my stay was helpful and friendly. Breakfast is not very nice though -... more

We ended up in this hotel after a taxi driver dropped us off there (instead of at the hotel we had booked at). The receptionist nodded enthusiastically when he heard our names, and pretended we had a reservation. We only found out when a colleague didn't show up for a meeting half an hour later. I have been in a... more

Where to begin? Lets start at the airport. Once our group of travelers from Vienna Austria had made it through customs and boarded the bus, we were promptly informed that the original hotel we had booked in Tunis was "completely booked up" and therefore we would be traveling for another 2 1/2 hour adventure to Caribbean World in Monastir. The... more

It is the worst hotel i have ever been. The service is terrible. Although I confirmed my reservation when I arrived to the hotel (at 1am) they said thet they gave my room to somebodys else because hotek was overbooked. They put me to some run down hotel and the Sheraton car was a kind of old filthy miniwan;-((((( As... more

I use Trip Avisor quite a bit, and I am always interested in reviews where a a few really trash a hotel that is viewed by others as quite nice. This is the case with respect to the Dar. If you are interested in being in the thick of things this is the hotel for you. If you want a... more

The Hotel Excel in Tunis is a wonderful, wonderful place to stay. The staff are helpful, friendly, and fluent in English, the location (just across from the Hotel Africa on Ave Habib Bourguiba) could not be better, and the rooms were clean and modern. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone traveling to Tunis. more

Tunis

We have often looked to holiday at interesting locales. We arranged this ourselves to visit during Tunamas, the local solstice celebration in late December near the Christmastime. It's a most festive time to be at the Mediterranean where the accommodations were superb, the food delightful, and the warm people most inviting. We will return. Thank You. more

Great location on the main drag of the French town, ten minutes walk from the medina and about ten minutes cab drive from the airport. It was the only hotel I stayed at in Tunis but it was definitely the best one I stayed at in Tunisia (stayed in three or different places) that was not part of a resort.... more

Don't stay at any other hotel/hostel in Tunis! This hotel is a great steal!!! For about $130 per night, you will get the same conveniences and services that easily would cost you $500-$600 per night in NYC, London, or Moscow!!! My travelling companion and I stayed for three nights/four days at the Tunisia Palace over the recent Thanksgiving holiday. Wow,... more

Best Western Hotel La Maison-Blanche

Dec 11, 2008

The hotel is on a main boulevard which can mean that if your windows faced the street, you will be able to hear the street noise all the time. If you can, give specific instructions that you want a room that doesn't face the street and definitely a room as high up as they can give you. Otherwise, we stayed... more

Cafe Sidi Chebeaane

Dec 11, 2008

We walked along the one main street in Sidi Bou Said and came upon this 'charming' cafe with views over the sea. Plentiful seating with lovely throws over the seats, we thought we had found a lovely place to enjoy a tea. We ordered our teas and they brought large slices of cake bread to offer us. Without a thought... more

Rooms is very clean, well furnished, service are good. but the hotel is more suitable to business travels, not a honeymooners. the view is not that good, no swimming pool. at the other side the best thing about this hotel is the location, it's in the city center " habib bou regeiba str." where you can find cafes, reastuarnts, shopping...but... more

There are statues, mosaics, columns etc from all over the country in this museum. With the exception of a small area where proistoric findings are excibited in a kitch jurasic park like style, this museum is brilliant! There are things found in Carthage, Dougga, El Jem and various other areas, from Pheniean, Roman, Vyzantine and other eras. Also, there are... more

I stayed in the El Hana International is Tunis, Tunisia from the 19th November until the 3rd December (that’s right, I am still here as I write this!). I stayed in the hotel on recommendation from my work colleagues as I travelled on business for two weeks. I have to say that the staff are relatively helpful, however, this is... more

Carlton Hotel Tunis

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, reserved the room via their website and I received a prompt replying saying the room is reserved and also offered a transfer from the airport. The transfer from the airport is nice to have, saves time and hassle of getting a taxi, although getting a taxi would be cheaper. Transfer cost 8... more

This hotel is a haven of peace and tranquility. The three of us occupied 2 rooms. Both were wonderful with carpets and fabrics of the country . Even the lack of a lift didnt seem to matter and was anyway quite understandable given the general layout of all these old houses. We could look over the street or just recover... more

Stayed at this hotel at the end of a coach tour of Tunisia. it was certainly the "Best of the bunch". The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel staff were very friendly. When I say the "Bunch" I refer to the other hotlels on the tour all 4 & 5 star. The only complaint would be that at the... more

We were a group of 23 English family and friends who holiday together every year. The hotels photos are the real thing, we couldnt fault the cleanliness or friendliness of the staff at this hotel.
