it was lovely staying at this friendly hotel, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. as a woman traveling in Saudi, i was nervous but staying at the Sheraton helped! more

Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre

Stayed here as part of a business trip in April for 5 days. The hotel room I stayed in was large (probably bigger than a standard room). It was on teh 42nd floor and overlooked Riyadh landscape. Riyadh is flat, so you could see for miles. Bathroom was huge and had L'occitaine toiletries replenished everyday. There are a couple of... more

There are two parts to the hotel relating to older and newer contemporary 'club' block. I had a suite in lower floor of the older block with more classical furniture with an Eastern rwist...with large bedroom and associated spacious sitting area. Bathrooms are to Japanese design (i.e. small) and mine was in need of decorative attention with rather unpleasant marks... more

This hotel is located in the Kingdom building definitely the most impressive building in Riyadh if not the whole middle east. Stayed in this hotel for one night on a business trip - fantastic arrival experience - well trained employees - perfection in everything they do. It is very hard to find fault if I was being picky I could... more

My seven day stay in this hotel was overall a pleasant experience. I got a single room that was of a good median size and quality you may find in most mid-range West European hotels. The bathroom was spacious and spotless-clean. Buffer breakfast was excellent in quality and variety. Food in all restaurants was good to great and reasonably priced... more

For some odd reason, all the branded hotels in Riyadh were full last week, so I decided to try out Almuthana. The hotel's own website doesn't offer online booking, but a site called ResMe.com does, so I booked a "Studio" room for three nights at US$120/night, considerably cheaper than the US$200+ you'd be looking at for my usual Holiday Inn.... more

Tulip Inn Olaya House

May 11, 2008

It's hard to write an objective review when feeling this dejected about a hotel. The Tulip Inn in Olaya doesn't fair well in my books... the rooms are in poor condition - in my room anything from running a tap to flushing the toilet caused an unbearable stench to fill the room, perhaps problem with the sewerage lines? The door... more

Make sure that you get a confirmation number when making a booking at this hotel. When I checked in, reception was unable to locate my booking. When I provided the confirmation number I was informed that the booking was only for a night instead of the 20 days I had booked. Other than that, the hotel is good for business... more

Standard hotel but Nice and small / high hosptality and contrary to my worries, service is friendly to single women . For me it was very convenient as it was a 5 mins walking distance from the office . would recommend it if you are not looking for extravagant stay . more

Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers

Apr 29, 2008

Business took me for the first time to Riyadh. What an experience! I booked the hotel through Expedia, a Towers room. It is really not a "tower" since it only has 6 floors, quite tall for Riyadh standards! Most buildings are low except for some towers. The hotel is...basically another Sheraton. So you know what you are going to expect.... more

I stayed at the 4 Seasons for two nights. Next time I will probably try the Faisalliah (which fellow travellers recommended) but the 4 Seasons was more convenient to our business meetings. The room was big but the decor was quite bland. The toilet also got stopped up and I had to call a plumber - twice... not what one... more

This is such a depressing place. While security barricades make one feel somewhat secure, the lobby is as quiet as a morgue, except for a bunch of old men sitting around smoking. I have stayed a many Marriotts around the world, and find this one to be seriously in need of a facelift. The rooms are quiet, and the bed... more

Spent two nights in the Marriott due to a business trip to Riyadh. I was very satisfied with the hotel, and wished I could have spent some more time in the comfortable bed, instead of attending meetings all day (and night) long. To start with, the entrance is well protected against violence. i.e. there is security screening and cars cannot... more

I stayed 2 nights in March; the hotel location was great in the middle of the attraction area, shopping and company offices The Hotel located Between Faisaliah Tower & Almamlakah Tower in King Fahad St. Checking in and out was smooth and staff was very professional and helpful Rooms was very clean and was appropriate for 4 star hotel Rate... more

Al Faisaliah, A Rosewood Hotel

The hotel is well situated alongside the tallest building in Riyadh and streets offering shopping and interest. Owned by the Rosewood brand it offers a high degree of comfort with large rooms well finished in fabrics and mahogany wood and marble settings. The rooms are equipped with internet and a range of (fruit) drinks and fruit baskets. The hotel offers... more

Chose Radisson due to location near client's offices. Well-maintained and spacious rooms though with a bit of a '70s decor. Staff uniformly friendly and service generally good though with an occassional slip -- e.g. one day I came back after midnight to discover that my room had not been serviced, but a phone call produced a quick response. Hotel restaurants... more

The Radisson SAS is a very good quality business hotel located in a district surrounded by military headquarters with nothing to see or anywhere of interest to walk to (not even a shopping mall!). The staff though were incredibly helpful and as venue for general appointments it was perfectly adequate and probably better than the Al-Failsaliah which has a much... more

Stayed here for a few days this March. The hotel is clean and quiet. It is not really near anything and requires a taxi to get anywhere. The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. We ate at the Mosaic a few times. The salad buffet was very nice. It was expensive but had a nice assortment of food including... more

Formerly the Howard Johnson Olaya Palace, this is now Holiday Inn's third property in Riyadh and probably the best of the bunch. Opened only in Nov 2007, all the facilities are quite new. Rooms are clean and spacious and equipped with free (if slow) wired internet access. There's a decent smallish gym (free) with a spa complex offering massages and... more
