As others have stated this is a beautiful hotel 'restored' in a mixture of not always historically accurate styles. Personally I didn't find it jarring and though it was a wonderful place to stay. We stayed 5 nights at the Mamlouka, it was a memorable stay, The ground floor room off the Courtyard, we had a fantastic time! The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean the hotel itself is amazing, it's quiet, has a lovely atmosphere, charming and facilities; but even though the hotel was full, it feels like you have it all... more

Beit El Mamlouka is in a charming location in the old town of Damascus, near the Bab Touma. While the property itself is beautiful, the service is nowhere near five stars.
