This hotel lies at the north end of Simila Beach and is the best hotel in Songkhla at this time. Rooms are large and comfortable but only 3 star by European standards. Only local TV channels available but furnishings are ok. Bed was king size and clean but mattress was about the hardest I have ever slept on. Nice pool... more

This was to have been a pleasant and quiet interlude in the middle of a hectic two weeks overland journey from Singapore to Bangkok. The hotel itself is OK, especially for the price and the staff try to be friendly and helpful although their collective knowledge of English is close to being non-existent. The hotel claims it has a semi-private... more

Service friendly and efficient. Try getting a sea view its worth the extra. Local fish resturants 5 minutes walk (North), and a muslim village (20 ins walk), South. 9 hole golf course next door. Local bars on Sadoe Road (5 mins in a tuk-tuk (40baht)) ask for Crown Hotel. Opposite is the Parlang bar (good food), this is an ex-pat... more

The BP Samila Hotel sits on the beach at Samila point in Songkhla, Thailand. It overlooks Cat and Mouse Islands and the famous "Bronze Mermaid" on the beach outside the dining room. The hotel is well appointed and maintained. The staff is friendly and attentive. Primary language is Thai, little, if any, english spoken. Service quality is high. Rooms and... more

To me, this hotel is really terrible. We walked in this hotel on 18/8/2007 noon to ask for room rate, there was a lady wearing black coat (name will not be mantion because to my opinion she was trained to be like that) said room had 2 types of rates,TBht1300+ & 850+, we decided to take 4 cheaper rooms, but... more

The room was terrible, phone are broken, air-condition not cold enough. The communication is too poor in this hotel. Just few simple English also don't understand. Restaurant service more terrible, need half-hour for dishes to my table. My overall impression was terrible more

I have stayed here many times already and I think that its a great hotel to stay at when in HatYai. There were no safety issues all these times.I would say that the location is rght smack in the centre of Hat Yai town.Refurbishment is way due though. more

I feel compelled to warn anyone away from this hotel. The flashy official picture and adequate lobby aside, the Regency was so bad we checked out after one night. The overwhelming problem is that it is dirty—our room smelled, the bathroom was mildewed, and the carpet in our room had so many large mystery stains there literally was not a... more

My feelings about this hotel are mixed. First of all, we didn’t want to stay in Hat Yai, so going to the beach seemed a reasonable alternative since we needed to be in that area. Going in the winter is tricky, of course, because of the monsoon season, and it was very windy. But the beach is very pretty, a... more

This hotel cost us 130ringitt and was not very nice, there were holes in the bed sheets and there were little worms in the water systems. The staff don't speak very good english. There is some shopping centre's close by but we didn't find the shopping that great. We would not return to HatYai. more

We have been visiting Hat Samilla (Siamilla beach) more than 5 times. It's one of the most loevliest places on earth - and sure our favorite place in the whole of Thailand. But sadly the last year the terrorists in the deep south makes it dangerous for torurist to travel to this beautiful pearl of Thailand. If you ever want... more

We have recently returned (end March 2005) from a short stay at the BP Samila Beach, which is in the town of Songkhla, about 30 minutes by taxi from Hat Hai. Taxi fare 500 bhts. ALL the staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make sure that our stay was as good as they could possibly... more
