Very good lodge on the outskirts of Joffreville (rather a ghost town) with easy drive to the Amber Mountain National Park. Comfortable chalets with fantastic views of the mountains and the bay of Diego Suerez. Friendly atmostphere and welcoming staff. Would recommend over the formal atmostphere of the Domaine du Fontenay. more

We arrived in the hotel after being picked up at the airport by the wife of the hotels owner. The owner, a Frenchman, is very nice guy and sympathetic towards his clients. Definitely one of the best hotels I've seen durting my 2 week trip in Madagascar. It is a brand new and elegant (for Malgasy standards obviously) hotel run by a French guy.
