Breathtaking scenery with spacious cablecars. This will be the setting of the 2014 Olympics Winter Sports. The place is still obviously going through massive work in building resorts and facilities. I beleive in about 2 years the place will be simply amazing. You have to keep in mind that Sochi's climate is a bit humid due to the Black Sea,... more

I'm a Canadian who lived in Russia for over 3 years(ekaterinburg). I travelled quite a bit and loved Sochi! It reminded me of home(Vancouver) with the ocean and the mountains. The weather was great. went in May. Very interesting place, lots of history. The "golden fleece" of Greek myth comes from here. Promethius was chained to a mountain around Sochi.... more

Before I write the review I should caveat this with a few points. First, the hotel my colleagues and I stayed at for nearly a week was called the Radisson SAS Park Hotel, and has a different address than this one. The one I stayed in seems different in other ways as well from the descriptions of this one here... more

I was a bit upset with a review by a previous author and do not want you to be discouraged by it. I grew up in Sochi and know the area very well, and even if I do not live there anymore, I still visit city regular for the vacation. Dagomys, unfortunately, is not 'one of the best' hotels in... more

The hotel is located in a nice spot and the lobby is attractive. The views from the rooms are nice. However, that's where the niceties end. The rooms are small and sparsely furnished (e.g. no ironing boards or irons). I would compare it to Best Western or Holiday Inn motels but at 3 times the price ($230/night). At best, the... more

Our family (2 kids (7 and 9 y.o.) my wife and me) stayed in the Hotel for 10 days in August. We think it is almost OK. There are some buts though. A walk to the hotel's sea private beach takes approx. 10 minutes. The hotel has a Mersedes bus which shuttles once every 30 minutes between the beach and... more

My friends chose this hotel for our week stay in Sochi this summer. It was just OK. I liked the location- on the outskirts of the city, rooms were a little tired. The aircon worked, but it was fairly loud. You have to pay for food (breakfast & lunch), but even taking this into account the hotel is still not... more

I've never stayed at a hotel/motel in another country before so this was an experience. The staff was very pleasent and tried to be as helpful as possible given the language barrier. If you want a good room, plan to stay in section 4 of whatever floor you are on. They seemed to be the nicest. I was in the... more

This is my first trip to Russia and the first time I have ever stayed in one of these "monster hotels" so I really was not sure what to expect. First, you just call and make your reservation without a credit card. If you're lucky someone will speak enough English to help you--if not, try again. All you will receive... more

Very nice hotel. Standard rooms are average, but amenities are excelent. Staff is pleasant and helpful. The hotel has good restaurants, night club, 3 saunas (Russian, Scandinavian and Turkish), gym, excelent pools and secure, cleen private beach (the only hotel in Sochi with private beach for hotel residents only). Jet ski can be rented on the beach. All rooms have... more

Gorgeous town on the Black Sea; tons of places to visit, such as tea planatation and Krasnaya Polyana nearby. Highly recommended if you have time to spare during your trip to Russia! more

My wife and I stayed at the Dagomys in August of 2001. Since no other travelers have left a review, I thought I'd leave one even if it's a bit dated. We decided to visit the Black Sea at the end of a whirlwind Russia trip. We had heard Sochi was where the Russians went for vacation and that the... more
