The hotel was pretty good overall. It was definitely very nicely located for a family. Restaurants are closely located, so was the Shinkansen.The hotel was a little overpriced for being located in Hamamatsu City. The breakfast was just fantastic, both western and Japanese stuff was there. My son loved the miso soup for breakfast. I would definitely go back there... more

Tokugawa Ieyasu was probably the most notable, and most powerful shogun in Japan. He spent several years at the Hamamatsu castle (located just up the hill from this monument) during important years of his rise to leader of all of Japan. more
