Vila Bela Vista

I am recently back from my 5th stay at Vila Bela Vista. I can't say enough for how wonderful it was to stay there yet again! They have many repeat visitors because of a combination of a great location (10 minute walk from town--so it's quiet), clean, comfortable rooms, and a friendly atmosphere where you feel upon leaving that you... more

Mosquito Blue Jeri

Dec 10, 2008

We visited Jeri for a 10 day windsurfing vacation, booked through Vela. They also organized the 5 hour long transfer from Fortaleza. The hotel room was fine and clean. Just outside was a swimming pool with a soothing water fall. The staff speak very little English but was always helpful. Mosquito Blue is well run hotel with a perfect location.... more

Everything about Vila Bela Vista was a pleasure. Located less than a 10 minute walk from Jeri, it's just far enough away that it's quiet at night. If you don't feel like walking, their donkey-powered chariot is always available upon request. The owners, Patricia and Marcio, are friendly, accommodating, and clearly well-loved and respected by guests and staff alike. Their... more

Kite Brazil Hotel

Dec 5, 2008

Located by Jericoacoara Kite Brazil is probably the best place to kitesurf in Brazil. The owner is a kite guru in who previously ran a posada in Cumbuco, and who decided to move as the kite-tourism intensified in the past few years. This brand new posada is located by the beach, with great ocean views, and friendly staff. The rooms... more

Sister hotel to (Pousada) Vila Kalango in nearby Jericoacoara (where we stayed for three nights beforehand), Rancho do Peixe is a far better stay if you’re looking for the ultimate in peace and serenity (and non-stop kite/windsurfing). While Vila Kalango feels crowded with rooms virtually on top of one another, the grounds of Rancho do Peixe are huge with lots... more

We stayed for one week at this lovely place. The hotel is situated a couple of minutes walking out side the center but they offer transportation with their carriage pulled by a donkey. The rooms are nice and clean for the 30 reals more I would advice to take a deluxe room. The owners of the hotel (Patricia and Marcello)... more

This was my second stay at VBV (having visited last year), and I am so glad it was. If you fancy a stay somewhere in Jericocoara which is efficiently run, full of character, has friendly staff, delicious evening meals, a tranquil location and superb owners (who are consummate hosts and adept at making everyone feel at ease), then look no... more

Vila Bela Vista is perfect for anyone and everyone! Its a beautiful family run Pousada with the most helpful staff I have ever come across. I can't wait to return, with another group! Patricia and Marcio, many thanks for everything nd will see you again next year! Andrew 'FluidFeeling' more

We came here on the back of a glowing recommendation from a friend who stayed here recently...and it is clearly one of the best/most upmarket places to stay in Jeri. BUT, I don't think it necessarily represents good value for money. With many types of rooms to choose from, we booked one of the palafitas (open-air tree houses) which are... more

In the middle of the nature and far enough from the downtown tourist-traps, this family run deluxe pousada is the best Jeri can offer. We found the comfort of an hotel, with the style of a luxury resort and the friendship of a family run business. Patricia and Marcio are great hosts and will add to your stay the experience... more

Jericoacoara is a small town full of pousadas, some of them quite expensive but very beautiful. I knew of the existence of this pousada through a friend, that knew the owner of Senzala dos Amigos, a man named Itamar. What I think is worth mentioning in this pousada is the familiar feeling you get when you are in the communal... more

My family (my wife and I and our two young adult children) went to Jeri to Kite surf. We had no clue as to where to stay, and given that choosing a hotel/posada on the internet has lead to disappointments and frustrations in the past, I had for precaution’s sake, booked another Posada in Prea. However, Vila Bela Vista proved... more

VBV is a wonderful place near to the dunes and wonderful for the sportifs (skyriders and sandboarders). Patricia and Marcio had wellcome us with their lovely children. My husband and I were charmed for the cute room. The swimming pool is very clean and the jacuzzi is always available! Try please Sandra's diner, her lasagna and paella are delicious. Claudia... more

I would not recommend Poussada Azul. Rooms are not cleaned daily. When we complained of flies and mosquitoes – the manager/owner told us that it was fly season. I did not see flies anywhere else in Jeri – go figure. The breakfast fruit is not fresh. This is due to the lack of guests. The fruit not eaten on one... more

My girlfriend and I spent five nights in Jericoacoara. We spent the first couple of nights at Pousada Papaya. The Pousada is beautiful, relaxing and very clean. They have a cute place to eat breakfast (good combination of fresh fruit, breads and juice), hammocks to lie in, and nice rooms. We booked an apt, and were very pleased. It was... more

Pousada Azul

Generally - for 40 bucks a night - this place isn`t bad. It is really all you need. A room close to the beach. However - some issues to point out 1) I had 400 dollars stolen from my suitcase. The website says it has safes. It does not. The owner offered to keep valuables in his room - but... more

My fiancé and I just spend a weekend in Aug 2008 at Jericoacoara, town and everything was great except for the hotel. We stayed at the “Pousada Masai Mara” which seemed wonderful online however once we arrived the situation changed. Staff of the hotel on the phone informed us that it is located on the “Rua Principal”, the main avenue,... more

I´ve been at Mosquito Blue in June/2008 with my husband and kid(5 year old). The room was small for us, but nice and clean. The only problem was the staff, they were distant and not very friendly like brasilians usually are. The location was great! more

From the minute I found this place online I felt comfortable with their atmosphere and response, they did not ever let me down and i never felt pressured in any way.
