When this historical hotel was renovated and refurbished in 1986 it was probably a striking standout. But that was 22 years ago, and now it is looking tired and dated. California Suites Hotel, where I stayed with my friends during our trip to San Diego was quite a surprise. Even though it was a budget hotel, the services were good. As the hotel is located right in the heart of the city, it became very convenient for us to visit all of San Diego’s famous places. more
