Ive been to a few zoos in my life but this definitely has to be the best. There are heaps of animals to visit and I absolutely loved the very unique kangaroo enclosure - you can actually walk through it and pat the kangaroos! The Crocoseum was also a great show. This is Steve Erwin's zoo and the tributes to him are all over the place (they actually got a bit old after a while). The zoo is well run and has a nice variety of animals. We drove from Gold Coast (2 hours drive) to visit what we thought would be something special. We were very very disappointed with Australian Zoo. The 'Crocoseum' was supposed to be the highlight but was completely boring and very disappointing, everyone left with mumbles of "Was that it?". There are not that many animals here, indeed we found that there... more
