We took a "day trip" from Las Vegas by coach-be warned the day is more than the 14 hours advertised.we were picked up from our hotel at 6am by a shuttle bus and then "processed" ie queued and paid the balance at the company HQ before setting off proper at 8.30 am.We didn't get back to Las Vegas until 1am... more

Once in your lifetime, you and your family should go to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. I have been several times and if I am blessed, I will go several more times. The most beautiful place on Earth, no question. The first time I saw it, driving north on the park road and seeing Mather Point, it literally... more

We crossed the USA in summer. We stayed in Flagstaff and went to the South Rim. From Flagstaff it takes about 90 min only. Then you pay the entrance (25$ for a car...good for a whole week!) and we thought: Where is the Canyon? So we drove a little further and parked the car at a View Point. And then... more

We just returned from visiting the Grand Canyon South Rim. We had only budgeted a day in our vacation, and I am sorry we did not have more time, because a day is just not enough to see everything there is to see. The Grand Canyon is something that everyone should see at least once in their life. It is... more

In addition to the usual stuff about it being a fantastic sight, we just wanted to add a few comments about practicalities. We went in August 2006. It was not as busy as expected, yes there were people around but there was not lots of queueing either on foot or when driving. We purchased the $50 annual pass as we... more

Went Labor Day weekend. It is awesome to see. The Canyon is Beautiful and though crowded the park is so big that you walk down a trial and be alone with its magnificence. Use the buses (especially the Hermit's Rest bus) and walk. Don't miss the main areas. Also go out Desert View Trial. It provides great views and is... more

Took the Grand Canyon South Rim bus tour from Las Vegas. Can't say enough about the Canyon. The view was breathtaking and has to be seen to be believed. It's something I recommend everyone see at least once in their lives. However, I would suggest you take either the West Rim tour, a helicopter or a small plane tour. Had... more

Our family of 2 teen-age boys (13 and 14) along with grandparents had a great spring break visit to the Grand Canyon. Taking the train from Williams was kid friendly and Dad friendly, (he enjoyed the ride and scenery and didn't have to worry about driving and parking at the rim). Upgrade to the Club Car for less noise, more... more

On October 27, 2004 I left rainy Las Vegas for a mid week break in the Grand Caynon. Originally planned on staying for two nights and return to Las Vegas on Friday afternoon. On the way in to the park I stopped to view the IMAX GC movie. Great. Highly reccomended. Very entertaining. I had booked a room at the... more
