I visited the Conch Farm in May, and it was an interesting experience. It was a little weird that some businessman is farming these poor little animals, but then again they do it with salmon, chicken, and on and on. While it was interesting, it was bizarre. We took our 7 year old and 3 year old there last week with another family with a 2 young kids. It was interesting for adults and kids. They got to pick up the shells and see conchs that were 6 months old to 6 years old. Whole tour only takes about 20-30 minutes. Nearby is the new mini-golf course... more

The drive there was a bit rough down a dusty dirt road, but the experience was wonderful. It's a very sophisticated operation. The tour and guide were very informative and friendly. Having been preoccupied with the conservation of nature and ecosystems for a large part of my adult life, I was delighted to see the activities of Caicos Conch Farm at first hand. Not only is it proving the benefits of ecotourism, it is also a number 1 attraction in the success story of the booming island of Providenciales. more
