I have three children ages 3, 6 and 9. They all love visiting Ardastra Gardens. It is a nice way to get some relief from the sun and let the kids run around. Be sure to see the Marching Flamingos they only perform twice a day so check the schedule. more

We just visited the Zoo 5/9/07. It was very pretty. We took the #10 bus and was dropped off in front of the Fish Fry. Then we took the little walk to the entrance. The admission was $12 per person. The zoo had lots of birds, and some very uncommon animals. The security on the animals wasn't to my standards... more

Ardastra was the highlight of my recent trip to Nassau. We took the bus to Arawak Cay and then walked the few blocks to the zoo. Admission was $12 per person and was worth every penny. This is a cute little zoo, with a great collection of parrots and macaws. It is definitely small and although the enclosures for the jaguars aren't what we normally expect to see in the USA, it's not terrible either.
