I absolutely loved this place! It's a bit pricey, but if you keep and open mind and remember that the aim of this place is to be one with nature, you'll have a good time. If you want to swim with the dolphins, book this online in advance, it sells out quickly. It costs extra, but it's worth it in... more

Because we stayed at the hotel next door we were given a free entrance to the park. We had read to go early so we went around 9am and it was DEAD. No-one around and we felt a bit stupid stripping down to our swim gear and walking around! after a while though we got into to the snorkelling through... more

I went to Xel-Ha and then to XCaret and I'd say XCaret is not worth it. I would only recommend it if you have small (5- y.o) kids. It is like Mayan Disney Land and offers surroghate experiences of what other places can offers for real. If you out of time, or don't mind man made "natural" attractions, then go... more

I asked my 5-year old what was his favorite activity in our whole vacation in Mexico. He basically gave me two answers: "the cave swimming" and the "show with fights." He was referring to the underground river float and the night show, both in Xcaret. Although my wife and I would not point these as the absolute best experience of... more

First time to visit XCaret. It was a long bus trip, but not too bad. We did the Plus Package, which I wouldn't recommend. You leave at 9:30 but don't arrive until around 11:30-Noon. Don't float the river... I repeat... don't float the river. You won't see anything except lots of other people floating through a cave. Take your snorkel... more

Xcaret is a wonderful experience if you plan correctly. My family loved the Underwater River Float, seeing the many animal displays - especially the beautifual parrots and the cute spider monkeys. A word of warning: Play your arrival time so you don't get ripped off by ticket prices. The second time we visited - this time to take my Mother... more

I have to say i went there for a family reunion trip and at first I really wasnt all about walking around all day and looking at things but i have to say at the time i was just 18 and I enjoyed it very much. The food was ok but the things i did and saw were amazing. Being... more

In researching ahead of time we were on the fence between Xcaret and another similar park. We arrived around noon. There was no waiting in ticket lines. We immediately went to the underground river. We rented a locker and already had our snorkeling equipment. We did think the signage could have been better throughout but park help was stationed to... more

We went in March 2007.Put simply this experience is somewhat overrated. It took a long time to purchase entrance tickets and actually get in the park, very slow at main gate.Liked the underground river but again it took a long time to get equipment and get in water. Once reach end of river it is a long walk back to... more

Xcaret is a must see on your trip to Cancun, Playa del Carmen, or Cozumel. It is family friendly and the kids will really enjoy all the animals. We did not opt for the all-inclusive package, because we did not eat the $30 per person buffet. There are cheaper places to eat inside the park. We ate at the restaurant... more
