Thanks to the majority of positive reviews, we decided to go to Xel-ha instead of Xcaret. Turned out to be a great decision. Unfortunately we went towards the end of our 9 day vacation and we were all snorkeled out. The kids enjoyed the "cliff jumping" and my wife and I enjoyed the river. The food was better than expected... more

We went on the half day Tulum tour and the half day Xel Ha park tour. I would plan on doing the Xel Ha tour for a whole day because it did seem like there just was not enough time. Tulum was great also of course but you really need a whole day to just relax and enjoy yourself at... more

Please save your money and don't visit this park. Way over priced @$75USD for all inclusive AND that's the ONLY option you'll get. Even with all the things it includes it is still a very expensive TOURIST TRAP!! Water down alcoholic drinks and mediocre waterdown beer, the food is actually Ok BUT YOU DIDN'T GO THERE TO GET DRUNK AND... more

This is a really great day out, the lazy river ride was amazing. It is all inclusive so as many cold drinks and food as you need! The snorkelling was amazing too, just look at all the pictures and you can see how good it looks, and it is just like the photo's. Make sure you take biodegradeable suncream on... more

Xel Ha is absolutey amazing. If you are deciding between Xcaret and Xel Ha, this is my take: Xel Ha is more "activity" oriented while Xcaret is more exhibit and entertainment oriented. To fully enjoy the park, go early when it opens (8:30) and stay until closing (6pm). If you are over 30 and worry about getting tired, there are... more

Xel Ha was the last on my long list of Mayan Riviera tour priorities... having spent a perfect day there, I would put it on the top of yours. My eight-year-old daughter and I loved Xel Ha. It is spectacularly beautiful and there is a lot to do. We loved the biking, the lazy river tube float, jumping off the... more

We were undecided as to whether we should visit Xel-ha or Xcaret on our recent trip to the Riviera Maya. After some deliberation and suggestions froms friends we choose Xel-ha. We and our boys, ages 15, 13, and 12 thouroughly enjoyed the day there. Well worth the price. Admission ticket includes all you can eat and drink all day (great... more

My husband & I took a day trip to Xel Ha. We booked our day trip with the Sunquest rep at our hotel. The transportation was well organized & our guide spoke 5 languages, so everybody was catered for. The park itself is fabulous. 'All inclusive' means just that, we didn't have to pay for anything whilst we were there.... more

Let me set this up for you. My parents are Exotic Travel Club members and the immediate family was staying at the all-inclusive El Dorado Royale on the Maya Riviera to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We decided to take an excursion to Xel-Ha. It was arranged by the concierge at the hotel, who took care of everything. We... more

I do not understand how this tourist trap could be rated so highly among visitors. It's advertised as a beautiful, protected area. But I felt like the natural beauty that may have once existed has been killed by too much tourism. I found that a fair amount of our time was wasted trying to get from one place to another,... more
