Christopher Wren's masterpiece. Every bit of the cathedral has a wonderful history - take a tour or rent an audio guide. Must climb to the whispering gallery (if you are as claustrophobic as I am, it is difficult as it is a tight and dark stairwell) - simply wonderful - and a much better place to see the artwork in... more

St Paul's Cathedral is huge. The inside is jaw-dropping. Not to be missed. We first tried to visit on a Wednesday morning, but it was closed to visitors due to a service for the OB. Tried again that afternoon, but the dome is closed after 3:30, the Cathedral closes at 4:00. Went again on Friday afternoon. Climbed all the way... more

This is a must see place for all who come to this great city, especially as it has apparently been refurbished and the mosaics in the dome gleam brightly in the lights. The whole place is so interesting full of graves of well known historical figures. If you have enough energy, it is well worth the climb to get up... more

I went to London the other weekend with my kids .We went on the London eye which was ok and we went to the tower of London which is kind of disappointing if you have been to Warwick castle which is much more interesting. Both of these were not nearly as good as st paul's.This has to be one of... more

I simply can't imagine going to London and not visiting St Paul's. While not as splendid as Westminster, the cathedral is rich in history and very beautiful. Don't miss it--you would regret it if you knew what you were missing! more

I cannot believe that this is the 23rd attraction of things to do in London. In my opinion, this has to be the top 5. While it has been a few years since I was in London (besides a layover), St. Paul's holds a special place in my memory. I visited as part of a sightseeing tour, and the guide... more

We (3 mid-twenty aged adults) visited St. Paul’s Jan 08. Princess Diana and Prince Charles were married here and the Duke of Wellington’s tomb is in the Crypt. You can easily walk to St. Paul’s from the St. Paul’s Tube stop which is two blocks from the cathedral entrance. We arrived at the opening time which can be found on... more

The American Memorial was very touching. It brought home the long-standing friendship between our two countries. It was made more poignant by the present disaster we've sadly dragged our friends into. Also very moving were the famous photographs of the dome surrounded by burning buildings during World War II and the story of the heroic Brits who risked their lives... more

St Pauls is beautiful inside, no question about it. They don't allow picture taking inside. (never stopped me) I guess they would rather have you buy a book about St Pauls with photos inside then take your own. We visited on a Sunday when the stairway was closed. We did get to go to the evensong though which was great.... more
