The Pitt Rivers is one of the great museums of the United Kingdom. It's collection is so diverse and vast, I ended up spending nearly 6 hours wandering the museum! The location is great (walking distance from High Street), the admission is free, and the diversity cannot be beat! Highly recommended! more

I love this museum. It's so jammed with interesting things you won't want to leave. It hasn't been ruined by over curation. more

The most interesting museum in Oxford and one of my favourite places to hang around. The collection is fascinating and repays revisits, and the building is a splendid artiface (not sure what is happening with the renovations though). You'll learn more about humanity here than you will anywhere else - outside the Turf, that is. more

It becomes even more amazing when you realise that the drawers under the display cabinets are also full of MORE stuff! They have collections of stuff as diverse as shrunken heads, antique guns, witchcraft apparatus, currency's used around the world, beaded items, a huge range... more
