this is a great museum. i remember many details still very well. the guided tour was engaging. the atmosphere was really like time-traveling. this is well worth the visit, and worth a special visit to Birmingham to get insight into life in english cities over a long time period. more

The back to backs show life in industrial Birmingham, through a guided tour around the very small 1-up-1-down properties that hug a courtyard. Almost everything I know of that is run by the 'Nation's Rust' is a stately home. The back to backs couldn't be more different.
