Following a recommendation on TripAdvisor my friend and I decided to go for the 10.30am (free) tour of Glasgow's City Chambers. What a gem! The tour lasted approximately an hour and Ann, our guide, was informative and humourous. The City Chambers are beautiful and well worth an hour of anyone's time if you enjoy a spot of culture and history... more

This is one of the most impressive public buildings in the UK. From the elegant entrance hall and on to the magnificent marble staircases leading onto beautiful rooms with ornate ceilings and hardwood panelling.
