Our choice of distilleries to visit was very limited as we had to go on a sunday (in November). Glengoyne was more or less the only one open, but very conveniently located close to Glasgow (although not quite as close as Auchentoshan). A good choice for a distillery tour, particularly if you don’t wish to venture far from Glasgow. Location is great & indeed very pretty, nestled among sheep-filled hills. This was my favourite distillery tour. The only disadvantage was that it was not in the Speyside area where we enjoyed all the other distillery tours.
