Absolutely agree with the previous post--if you do Muckross House, don't miss the abbey. There is even a car park just north of the house, and the abbey ruins are little over a 5 minute walk from there. The ruins are quite nice, and the cemetery, overlooking the lake, is definitely picturesque. more

If you go to the Muckross House dont miss the Abbey, you must walk or get a ride from the horse carts but dont miss going into this abbey. We walked the path right by this abbey and almost didnt follow the trail to it. When you enter this abbey just stop and look around and marvel at the small... more
