We had a rental car, and drove through the Gap of Dunloe, with our starting point being Molls Gap, on the Ring of Kerry. Our B and B owner, in the town of Kenmare, recommended this drive as we left that day to head over to the Dingle Pennisula. We are so glad he did!!!! The drive is one of... more

What a memory! I took this tour with my four kids, husband and father. The trip includes going by bus to Kate Kearneys' Cottage; going up through the glorious mountain pass on pony/trap; and in the afternoon, coming down through the three lakes by boat into Ross Castle, and then a bus returns you to town again, (or to your... more

This is definitely a must see! My party and I travelled up by car (1st and 2nd gear only!) as it was well after 6.00 pm - but when next in Ireland I shall do this again via horse and trap. Absolutely beautiful scenery of the raw kind! more

The Gap of Dunloe was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. We hired a horse-drawn jaunting cart at Kate Kearney's Cottage. Honestly, unless you're REALLY into hiking, it's the only way to go. The trip to the top is long and arduous. I saw many hikers looking at our cart longingly, I suspect wishing they had hired... more
