We visit the Harris a few times a year mainly to see what the latest special exhibition is. It's free entry as well which makes it easier. The building is classical style with pillars and a large balcony overlooking the old Flag Market square where local achievers like Andrew Flintoff are shown off to the public. The Harris Museum is a truly beautiful building. It is classical Victorian Lancastrian take on Neo-Classical architecture - restrained, powerful and elegant. The interior is fascinating - it has an internal atrium that goes through the four floors of the building. The atrium has a Foucault's Pendulum, classical friezes and a cafe that is only half-decent.
