We got there at about 10am, and by that time there were already long lines. We waited 1.5 hours to buy tickets 15 minutes to get on the elevator to the 1st level 40 minutes to get on the elevator to the second level 30 minutes to get on the elevator to the 3rd level THEN we had to go... more

The tower itself is gorgeous and I up close it is very impressive. After walking from the Louvre to the tower (about and hour!) our feet hurt so much we couldn't face standing in the enormous queues that we found waiting for us. There are probably enough reviews about how great the Tower is (and it is magnificent) but here are some scams we personally encountered in our recent, first trip to Paris. I call these people predators or parasites, as they prey on the unsuspecting and the well-meaning tourist. I would not call them beggars, I doubt they are either poor or... more

The Eiffel tower itself is magnificent and hence this review got 2 stars. However, this review is written to identify the true nature of the folks who run the lone beverage stand under the tower. If you go to Paris, you must go to the top of the Eiffel Tower. The line might look long, but it doesn't really take too long. Be sure you are ready to go up when you get in line, since you can't buy tickets ahead of time - you must go up immediately. Since it is a must see,... more

We were at the Eiffel Tower in October with our 3 children aged 12, 9 and 7 years (we are New Zealanders). Yes it is completley amazing, but a word of warning is the beggars underneath the tower who are CONSTANTLY roaming around-they approach people consistently and ask if they speak english, whilst asking this they have their hands in... more

This really is something to see. The size of it can really only be appreciated up close. I chose not to go up as the line was really long. It is lit up at night and the lights dance at 9, 10, 11 and 12. more

The Eiffel Tower is very beautiful to look at, especially at night when the tower is having a gran mal seizure. I don't particularly care for the view from the Eiffel though. The Eiffel Tower is very beautifull, but i will not climb it again. The queue and the elevator are very boring... and in my humild opinion the view is not as good as everybody said. Try the tower, but without climb !! more
