If you visit Paris you have to go here to get some Falafels from the Jewish Quarter. Even if it is the only thing you do in this area. Even if you don't like Falafels. They are really really really good!!! There's loads of stands that sell them - just look for the one with the biggest line! more

take metro - line 1 and go there- stations hotel de ville or the next- saint paul- -you have everything in these area- the real old paris- shopping, markets , good ,cheap places to eat- you can finally see and hear french people, and not only tourists - is an amazing place . believe me more

During my one-week-trip to Paris this quarter was the most interesting and beautiful spot in this city for me. You can experience a big influence of the jewish culture in this quarter. We stayed in the Marais for a week in a great 1 bedroom apartment over New Year 2006/07. We found it to be a charming neighborhod with lots of small boutiques, restaurants and great walking access to lots of areas of interest. The Marais district sums up all that Paris is; a mixture of the modern & old world , both living comfortably together. Superb architecture,easy to get around on foot, very, very clean( Irish Tourist authority take note! ), and safe. Not necessarily expensive! Paris in general lives up to the hype in every respect.
