Our friends ended up staying in L'Exiemple District Barcelona due to circumstances (mix up with apt keys at agency), but it turned out to be gem! More like Paris with wide boulevards & prettier buildings with the Moderniste style everywhere. Lots of tables outside for eating & drinking & taking in the atmosphere. Nice safe area to stay in with Gaudi at your doorstep and a short walk to la ramblas. Very pretty neighborhood area. Not tourist oriented. more
