One of my favorite activities while visiting Montreux is to run around in the vineyards of the Corniche Lavaux, an area in the hills above the lake between Lausanne and Montreux. To get to the area, take the train to Vevey, and connect there for the "wine train" to Chexbres, then just head downhill. Chexbres itslef is a lovely town... more
