Best to book online, take a copy of booking, pay inside. NO cameras allowed. The recorded tour guide is spotty. Incredible construction by the people who lived here 5000 yrs ago. See this then walk over to Tarxien Temple ruins. Bring your own bottled water, etc. more

My partner and I visited the Hypogeum in August 2005. Tour numbers are limited so we booked on-line about four weeks beforehand. We went by bus from Valetta (15-20 minutes). Finding the site wasn't easy, despite signposts, and the entrance is through a doorway. However, what you see is AMAZING. more

In May 2005 we visited the Hal Salfieni Hypogeum. It's not easy to do that. One has to book well in advance, which we did by e-mail to Heritage Malta a month before leaving Canada (now you can do it on-line). We picked up the tickets at the National Archaeological Museum in Valetta the day after we arrived in Malta.... more
