The crococun zoo was a great day trip and we'd definitelly do it again. The guided tour takes about 1 and a half hours so it won't take up a whole day. You pretty much have to be travelling independently in a rented car to be able to stop at this park. It is right on the highway just south of Cancun. Besides the wonderful beaches, friendly people, interesting mayan pyramides, you should not forget to watch the wonderful nature and be aware that nature is somewhat damaged because of tourism.
