It's hard to imagine just how baron this place might be without the excellent garden staff the look after this place. It's nice and cool under the trees (which is a God send in the 40+ heat) and the paths were well looked after. A lot of the plant life isn't native to Darwin but it strives and all fits... more

I visited Darwin's Botanic Gardens on a Sunday afternoon in mid September this year. I was impressed with the abundant bird life and wonderful trees and shrubs. I was rather surprised that there were no apparent members of staff on hand to answer any questions. The enquiry office was open but not manned. The plant house was locked even though... more
