Most of the other reviews are right on point - at the risk of repeating a lot of what has gone before (apologies) here goes: Apparently the Penguin Parade at Philip Island is the third most popular natural attraction in Australia (behind Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef) - since I like penguins and we don’t get to see Eudyptula... more

We visited Phillip Island in early April 2008 and purchased the "Penguins Plus" option for our penguin viewing. It was wonderful. We were able to watch the penguins waddle up from the sea - there were hundreds of them. With the "plus" option not only are you able to view the penguins emerging from the sea, but there is a... more

Our friendly guide had everything we needed- padded seats, binoculars, and a headphone set... more

It... more

We stayed in Melbourne, and it's approx an hour and a half drive down to Phillip Island. You need to be at the penguin centre by 7.30pm to witness the parade - it's better to pre-book as it's so popular. Wrap up warm too, and maybe even take a cushion, as you're sat on wooden benches for a couple of... more
