Its a Bridge....its crowded...there is a lot of construction going on...and every 5 feet there is another vendor selling something. Views are ok but don't even compare to other sites around the city; ie Prague Castle. Cross it on your way to or from the Castle but don't be expecting to much...its a BRIDGE =) The one highlight though are... more

The Charles Bridge is one of the "must-see" sights of Prague, and for good reason. It's an old and attractive bridge with cool towers at each end and it provides beautiful views of all of Prague. As you walk along it, you'll be flanked on both sides by the many statues that line the bridge, as well as the various... more

The Charles Bridge is most definitely a must-see, must -do experience. We crossed it several times during our one week stay and the quality of our experience varied each time. Try and avoid the bridge on weekends in daylight hours. The bridge traffic is shoulder to shoulder, with many tourists pushing and elbowing others or holding up traffic for the... more

It’s an amazing looking bridge, but very crowded. However if you go prepared to face crowds you’ll enjoy the walk more. more

This is a must see in Prague but just make sure you are prepared for crowds of tourists and people dressed up as sailors trying to sign you up for boat cruises! more

You probably know by now how good the view is, so I will save you the time. But I will tell you that if you get there early, the bridge is not crowded. And in the winter -- EMPTY. Though, we went over at 8 AM in winter, by the time we came back around 11 AM, it was packed.... more

Since you can't come to Prague and not visit the Charles Bridge, my advice would be to visit it multiple times: at least one during peak time, when it is jammed with tourists, artists, musicians, and locals; and another, more off-peak time, when you can easily stroll along the bridge, stop to admire the statues there, and take in the... more
