We contemplated going to this at first due to the expense, but were so glad we did. In fact we even returned later that day for a second go around. Divided into 6 floors carefully laid out. Can see an excellent view of the Capitol from the top floor. Had an 11 year old with us who enjoyed the experience... more

I visited the Newseum last week with a 12 and 13 year old. We arrived shortly after they opened at about 9:20 and had to leave when they closed. We had only planned to stay for 2-3 hours - and we didn't even get to see everything. This is definitely a must see! Don't miss the temporary exhibit in the... more

Wow this place defines cool! We were in Virginia staying with relatives for 3 nights over the Memorial Day weekend and on the Saturday they took us into DC as there was a new 'Newseum' that hadn't been open long and they'd bought us all tickets. There were 4 adults and 2 kids in our party and we all had... more

Because of a cancellation on my recent DC trip, I decided to fill the hole in my agenda with a visit to the newly re-opened Newseum. I'm so glad I did. Now in it's new location in DC (right next to the Canadian Embassy with a terrific view of the Capitol), it was a fabulous stop. My three favorite aspects... more

This museum makes a great addition to the high caliber museums that already exist in the District. The greatest drawback, however, is the cost, which seems high when so many of the attractions here are free. The typical cost is around $18.00 for an adult. Still the architecture of the building is wonderful, the exhibits amazing, and the view superb.... more

Visited Newseum last month. We went to a number of museums in Washington and this was definitely the best. Plenty of space - so no feeling crushed by crowds - heaps and heaps and heaps of things to see. My 12 year old and I spent three hours there....and only left because it was closing. Anyone visiting Washington who is... more

If you're into journalism and communication in general, don't miss this place. With so many interactive displays, galleries and an amazing 4-D movie in an IMAX theatre, this museum sets a new standard to D.C. museums. Absolutely fantastic. Good for ages 6 and up. more

Just before booking our trip to D.C. we learned that the Newseum would be open and immediately bought tickets online. We had been looking forward to seeing the newly opened museum, and weren't at all disappointed. From the top down, the Newseum was thoughtfully put together and covered all aspects of the news media. I think both adults and children... more

The Newseum recently opened in Washington, D.C., and I'm happy to have been able to visit it. The staff was helpful and friendly, the exhibits were artfully displayed and truly amazing (especially the 9/11 Twin Towers display) and my favorite part - the interactive "Be a TV Reporter" activity - was a big highlight of my visit. (You basically get... more
