The best part of the San Ignacio market is that it's not done for tourists. The locals come out on Saturday for the big market day to buy their produce & groceries and, apparently, socialize. Visit the market on Saturday when it is best. The market on Saturday is comprised of a flea market more on the road area. In the other area is a large area of fresh fruit and vegetables. Unbelieveable!!!! We also found someone selling fresh snapper. Great visit! They are expanding the market a little down the road. Not sure when... more
