When we got to black rock in the afternoon it was very crowded and the snorkeling visibility was pretty poor. I would guess that if you go in the morning and maybe hit the north side (we were at the south side) you might have a total different experience, though. more

Snorkeling near a big wall like Black Rock is great. Gets pretty deep, currents can be strong. Was tired when we finished but it is worth it. Saw turtles,octopus,lots of fish. more

Ok, finally had to snorkel at the famous Black Rock. Highly, highly overrated. I began snorkeling here in the mid-70's as a teenager, having gone back summer of 2002.
