Wonderful setting, tranquil gardens with lush folliage surround a peaceful bathing area with shaded seating and dinner table. Cooking experience was out of this world, chopping carrots has never been so much fun - expertly guided by our interpreter Mohammed and the morrocan ladies there - a fabulous day and I can only hope that the recipies can be recreated... more

During the last day of our Moroccan tour, we spent a lovely afternoon at the Maison arabe's garden estate, located just outside the old city of Marrakesh. The beautiful grounds and pool provide a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the medina. Inside the spacious and gorgeous house, we had an enjoyable, hands-on Moroccan cooking lesson with Mohammed,... more

We spent a beautiful afternoon learning how to cook Moroccan food from an authentic cook, in an immaculate kitchen, amidst stunning surroundings. I've wowed my Australian friends by cooking the beautiful food on my return home. As well as the dishes cooked in the session, participants can have more recipes emailed afterwards! Excellent value, memorable and very worthwhile. more

The cookery workshop is held a short car ride away from the main hotel in the most amazing location. The gardens and swimming pool are absolutely beautiful and very relaxing, unfortunately you can’t swim in the pool as it is for guests only. We were given a very informative explanation of Moroccan food, spices and ingredients by Mohammed before making... more

We spent a wonderful morning learning how to cook some real Moroccan food and enjoyed eating the results for lunch. We have now tried to cook it back in England, but it just doesn't taste quite the same when it is cold and wet outside. Overall this was one of the highlights of our holiday and the memories of it... more

My husband and I took the Arabe cooking workshop on March 20, 2008. We had a fantastic experience. Mohammed was a great food instructor. His English is perfect (he is an English Professor) and he is very patient (great for novice cooks). This class was a wonderful break from the busy Medina and another wonderful way to immerse oneself into... more

My friend and I took a cooking course given by Maison Arabe. We booked this on the site of the hotel (in which we did not stay, way above our budget!) and arrived at the hotel, where we met two other couples and were taken by shuttle to a very beautifull and luxurious villa outside of Marrakech (bring bathing gear,... more

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class at La Maison Arabe. Mohammed was a perfect guide/translator and the tagine class capped a wonderful week in Morocco. The chicken tagine we made was actually the best we had in Morocco. We'll try to duplicate it at home! I would highly recommend the class for anyone looking to learn a... more

We met Mohammed Nahir, our cookery teacher for the morning and local expert on all things to do in Marrakech, in the beautiful gardens of La Maison Arabe on a sunny, hot morning just over a week ago. Mohammed gave us a background to Moroccan cooking (and gave us notepads and pencil to write it down if we wanted). Then... more

La Maison Arabe cookery class was superb. We spent an afternoon immersed in Moroccan culture in a gorgeous setting under the guidance of a University of Morocco English professor, Mohammed Nahir, who was acting as translator. Meeting Professor Nahir was the cultural highlight of our trip to Morocco. We discussed with him many aspects of Moroccan life including education, women's... more
