This is probably one of the saddest places you will ever go, but it is definitely a must-see because the genocide is still so much a part of Rwanda (and probably always will be). Outside there are mass graves; inside are more museum-type exhibits, such as historical information about the genocide; and personal items (clothing, etc.) recovered from the murder... more

Whilst in Kigali we went to visit Kigali Memorial Centre. It was a very moving experience. The genocode was so terrible but this centre presents the information well. It is important to visit if in Kigali to try and understand a little of what the Rwandan people went through. we were often moved to tears. The word near the end... more
