Gion is a quaint little section of Kyoto within walking distance from Clearwater temple. In the day, there is a little bazaar selling all sorts of Japanese munchies such as sotong, hot dog, okinomiyaki, beefstew, takoyaki, etc. During the Cherry Blossom season, there are many Japanese sitting on blue mats beneath the cherry blossoms probably enjoying a cherry blossom lunch.... more
