Always a pleasure to play. Both courses are always in superb condition and are both challenging to play but fair to all golfers. Beware that between mid-October and June that these courses are cart-path only to preserve the perfect playing conditions, so you'll definately be doing a lot of hiking. While I played horribly, the course was still a pleasure in 100 degree heat. It is a beautiful desert course but if you do not like hitting out of rocky sand then I recommend practicing your driving and irons a lot before you go. I recently was in the Phoenix area for a conference. I had the opportunity to get a few rounds of golf in and was lucky enough to stumble on We-Ko-Pa. The other courses I played were Eagle Mtn., Whirlwind and Talking Stick - all beautiful courses, but the consesus of our group was We Ko Pa was the nicest. Excellent... more

I had never been to Phoenix/Scottsdale and wanted to play a true desert course. Wanted to play Troon's Monument Course, but they had an event going on. A golf pro recommended We-Ko-Pa.
