An interesting museum with an unknown theme. The message was clear - a destroyed part of Cape Town with a lot of culture. What a bity. How would it be today? The museum it self is small enough to visit in max couple of hours. A lot to see, and even experience. more

I was taken here as part of a township tour arranged through the concierge at Park Hotel, Greenmarket Square. I would really have liked to stay there longer, as I did not have enough time to read and see all I wanted to. The township tour was an excellent way to see how many people live. It's small, a little scruffy, and easy to miss, located in a street that doesn't look wonderful, so don't come late in the evening, and watch your possessions. But it's really well worth visiting, giving you a real feeling for what the place was like before Apartheid, the damage done by relocations, and the feelings of people in coming to... more
