My wife and I visited Chateau Julien on February 21. The tour was extremely interesting. I learned an awful lot about the wine making business. I was amazed at all of the intracacies of wine making and grape growing. The young lady who gave us the tour (I didn't get her name) was not only extremely knowledgeable, but very warm... more

My wife and I had a great time at Chateau Julien. Patty Brower, who owns the winery with her husband, gave us a fantastic tour of the winery, with wine tastings along the way. The winery looks like a French Chateau and the Chai, where the wines are aged in barrels, is awesome. The winery is not a residential neighborhood... more

The place is mediocre. I would not recommend it. The architecture is pretentious. It's an odd setting - right in a residential neighborhood. We felt like we were intruding on the neighbors. more

If you want to visit one of the best wineries in California, than this is the one. Located in Carmel, this beautiful winery sets the mood for relaxation, fun and the joy of wine. Dont be fooled by "big name" wineries, this small producer makes classic California wines that give the "Big Guys" a run for the money! This growing... more
