Pretty grounds - pretty drive to get there - I much prefer other smaller wineries however more

We visited Ferrari-Carano mid-week. From what we heard from the staff, it does get pretty crazy on the weekend. That being said, we had a wonderful time at this winery. We tasted on a Tuesday and came back to purchase wine to take home on a Wednesday (October the week after the big harvest festival) and both visits were uncrowded.... more

My boyfriend proposed to me in the gardens of Ferrari Carano! I'm not a wine drinker...like sweet wines so can't comment on their wines but their grounds are full of vibrant colors. Nice background of the vineyards and a nice garden with a gazebo and pond. We took a lot of pictures here. more

We should have heeded the advice of others we had asked. The gardens are beautiful, however, though the wines were good (the Chardonnay is excellent) the tasting experience left us feeling a little flat. The guy doing the tasting actually told us the vacation rental property he owns is a better place to stay than the place we were staying.... more

Ferrari Carano is a great mix of an amazing property to tour as well as some pretty good grape. One can get lost touring the gardens and building here - if you have time to kill it is a great spot to tour even if you do not drink wine. The wine is great also but there are so many... more

My wife and I just spent three days in the Sonoma wine country. By far the highlight of the trip was our visit to Ferrari-Carano Winery. The grounds are gorgeous but the wines are better.
