The Palm Springs Follies is an inspirational experience with something for everyone. We were entertained for three hours by beautiful "girls", beautiful costumes, beautiful singing, inspirational dancing, and great humor. It's a big deal and well worth it. The Follies is a true variety show. The dancers so clearly love what they do; the variety acts are a return to old time entertainment; the headliner (Freda Payne) sang standards, songs from her touring show and, of course, her hit "Band of Gold." This has been the highlight of our trip to Palm Springs every year. My wife is 54 and I'm 63. So we're happy to see in recent years some more music from the 1950s, such as doo wop. It's always great and encouraging to see the human mind and body endure. I don't understand, however, why the women are idolized and the men treated more poorly. They are all in their 60s/70s/80s and should be equally respected. I see this show every year and I still cry at the end with all the patriotic themed songs and costumes. Everything is great from the singing to the dancing, from the costumes to the sets, and it is about the funniest show around! Everyone needs to go! more
