I love the zoo. When on vacation, no matter where it is, my husband and I always find a zoo to visit. Denver is definitely a good one! It was a very hot day, in the high 90's, but a lot of the animals were still out and about. Some were sleeping, but that happens at any zoo! The Denver... more

My husband and I went here on Memorial day weekend, it was quite crowded but its very spread out so you really dont notice. They have some very unique animals and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They seemed to have lots of empty exhibits, maybe they are getting ready for the summer or something. My favorite part was... more

The Denver Zoo is great. Very easy to navigate and affordable. You can easily go for 2 hours. Worth it to go with the family membership! Kids are outside. You bring your own food. The Christmas lights are great. more

The Denver zoo had a huge selection of animals. Whatever you are going there to see, they likely have it (except for pandas!). During the colder months, many of the warm weather animals are still viewable in indoor exhibits. I actually prefer viewing the monkey and ape exhibits in the winter because you get to be up close with the... more

We got there at 9 the opening time for the zoo. We stayed 2 hours. We were not able to ride the train because they were painting the side walk to the train and carousel. For the first hour we walked around and were not able to see a lot of the animals because they were cleaning the habitats. This... more

The Denver Zoo is a fantasic place to take the kids or anyone for the day. It's laid out well, there is a new African animal area that is beautiful, and my daughter loves the little train and gorgeous carousel. You can rent two sizes of wagons for the little ones. The gift shop has a nice assortment of goodies... more

We visited the Denver Zoo on March 16, 2007. It was me, my husband and our 17 month old son. Winter hours are 10 AM to 5 PM. Get there early because parking fills up fast. We paid $9 apiece for two adults. Our son was free. We think this is one of the best zoos we've been to. We... more

We had a wonderful time at the Denver Zoo! The zoo is neat, clean, and the layout of exhibits are well done. They offer "free days" to the public a few days a year - see their website for the exact days. We went on Nov 5, 2006 - one of their free days. The line to get in was... more

My best advice for this zoo is bring water and arrive early as parking may be a challenge. It does get quite warm, even on a spring day, and the lines for water can get long--so grab a bottle of water and bring it with you. The parking lots serves both the zoo and the Museum of Nature & Science,... more
