Visited the site while in the area last week. We had an excellent tour of the home by a very knowledgeable guide. Very interesting and informative. Well maintained grounds. I thought it was an interesting contrast being able to see the ski jumps and didn't find them to be distracting as they are some distance away. more

After reading so much about John Brown it was very exciting for me to visit his farm, reputed to have been his favorite place. It's a beautiful spot with a magnificent view of the Adirondack Mountains. more

A must for history buffs of course, but it seemed very secluded here compared with the fifty or more cars parked along the roads at the trail heads. Too bad the olympic ski jumps intrude on the scene. more
