“The Air Walk is spectacular, but the cafe needs to smarten up”

We weren't told that there was a little "golf buggy" type vehicle available to help us to reach the entrance to the Air Walk. As a consequence, my wife struggled up the hill to entrance with her artificial hip and it was a very long hard climb. AND we ordered a small meal in the cafe; this took FORTY MINUTES... more

Definitely worth the drive to get there. What a beautiful experience....what a view! A word of warning though, if you dont like heights, take the airwalk at your own pace. Towards the end of the airwalk, the bridge gets rather wobbly. more

It takes about 1.5hrs to drive from Hobart city to the Tahune Airwalk. It's very easy to find. You can either buy your tickets in the town of Geeveston or at the actual site which is about 30mins drive from Geeveston. I recommend people travelling to Tasmania take the time to explore the Tahune Forest AirWalk. We stopped and bought our tickets in Geeveston which is a small country town about 29kms before the walk. This not only saved time when we got there but we also saved money on the hang glider ride they also have at the site. We... more
