I'm always excited to go to the aquarium and see the sea otters, but I also remember the good days when the price of admission was worth it due to being able to see Keiko. Unfortunately the Passages of the Deep doesn't make up for it. It is a quick visit I would say consisting of an hour or two... more

This aquarium is very small, compared to the Vancouver Aquarium and not worth it to see, unless you really have nothing to do. I would recommend heading to the sand dunes and pay for a dune rail tour (not the buggy). more

Oregon Coast Aquarium was a wonderful experience we all thoroughly enjoyed. I kind of thought it would be like the aquarium that is up further along the coast and touts feeding the sea lions held in captivity that I saw years ago (and was like going into a pet store's fish section). I'm happy to report that this aquarium was... more

I have been to aquariums in Chicago, New Orleans and Baltimore, and was giddy at the thought of seeing a new one - this one, however, wasn't what I had expected. It is very clean and nicely kept and the exhibits are nicely done, but it is small. One would think with the type of access they have to the... more

My wife and I were hoping to get half a day, or more, at the Oregon Coast Aquarium with our two kids. We ended up spending barely over an hour there, and were questioning if we got our admissions worth. We did show up very early in the morning and the aquarium was pretty much crowd-free. By the time we... more

We were very excited to finally visit the Aquarium. I hate to say it but I think the aquarium is a bit over priced for how small it is. You go to a zoo and pay less but see more. I was not disappointed with the trip, just hoping to see more than what we did. The exhibits were nice,... more

This aquarium has great exhibits and is very educational. I enjoyed the otters and the new Oddwater exhibit is a fascinating concept. That being said, the Oregon Coast abounds in free or low cost activities that are just as, if not more, interesting than what you will find at the aquarium. While I enjoyed our time there, for those with... more

I buy a yearly family pass from there , and one our favorite things to do is see the otters eat!!! They bang clams on things and fish them out of jars ! so cute! They have feeding times for the sea lions and seals too!! Volunteers scattered around to answer questions and give intresting facts! ( And a very... more

If you are traveling along the Oregon coast and want to go to an aquarium that is actually worth the $ you are charged for entry, then THIS IS THE ONE TO SEE! There are quite a few "aquariums" along the coast that don't even come close to offering what OCA does. The shark tanks alone are worth every dime.... more

I visited here last August. I personally thought that the Marine Science Center, located a short drive from the Aquarium, was much more interesting. There were lots of marine scientists to talk with, and it was more of a "hands on" type of experience. It is also free, though donations are very much appreciated. Its former occupant, Keiko; made the... more
